Pentecost: Paul The Pastor In 2 Corinthians, David E. Fredrickson Apr 1991

Pentecost: Paul The Pastor In 2 Corinthians, David E. Fredrickson

Faculty Publications

Each year John’s passion account appears in the lectionary for Holy Week and his story of the resurrection is appointed for Easter and the Sunday after Easter, providing an opportunity for sustained reading and proclamation of these texts. John’s narrative is masterfully told; the drama is …

Adventist Doctrines And Progressive Revelation, P. Gerard Damsteegt Jan 1991

Adventist Doctrines And Progressive Revelation, P. Gerard Damsteegt

Faculty Publications

Progressive revelation has played an important role in the development of the Seventh-day Adventist church and its theology. By “progressive revelation” I mean God’s continuous unfolding of prior revealed truth.1 Without such progressive revelation, the unfolding of inspired truth building on truth previously revealed and never denying it, the Seventh-day Adventist Church would not exist.
