A musical score prepared in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Music degree.

The work was begun in September of 1951, and was completed in April of 1962. It is cast in three movements: fast, fugal style; slow, a variation-rondo; fast, sonata form. A closely knit structure is achieved through melodic and rhythmic relationships throughout.
