The Spectator Club collection contains copies of the club constitution, a history of its founding, group photographs of members taken on three different dates, a list of program topics, a few event programs, letters, bills, receipts, and minutes from meetings 1911-2000. Many of the letters offer thanks for support of various causes. Other letters thank the group for gifts and condolences following the death of one of the members. Minutes include detailed accounts of meetings along with lists of officers, members, attendance, speakers, entertainers, topics, dues, expenditures, and treasurer's reports.

The Cooperative Extension is part of the nationwide Cooperative Extension System, which works through the land-grant universities in each U.S. state. Maine’s land-grant university is in Orono at the University of Maine.
The records mainly contain textual information created by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, but there are also photographic, visual, and audio visual material. Some of the report record series also contain photographs of Cooperative Extension Service operations, events, and staff. The reports submitted during the First World War and Second World War years detail the effects the wars had on agriculture in Maine.

The Bureau of Public Administration had its start at the University of Maine with the city manager program in the 1930’s. The Bureau was part of the progressive movement to professionalize municipal administration. The position of town manager became popular through this movement as a way to administer above the political fray. The Bureau hosted, delivered, and facilitated training for municipal and public employees on a range of subjects. Lieselotte O'Meara was born in Danzig, Poland in 1920. She and her family defected to Germany after the Russian take-over of Poland. Lieselotte became a nurse in Germany during World War II and worked in an American occupied hospital in Bayreath, Germany where she met her future husband, David O'Meara. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, they moved to the United States, finally settling in Old Town, Maine in the mid-1950s.
The collection includes 35mm slides documenting Lieselotte O'Meara's international travels, natural, and scenic landscapes.

David G. Smith, a resident of Camden, Maine, had a life-long interest in and connection to the Katahdin Iron Works area of Maine. The collection is arranged in two series:
Series I: Katahdin Iron Works Information Files, contains all of the material gathered by Smith during his life-long association with and interest in the KI region and its history.

The collection contains business records of the Maine State Federation of Labor and its successor, the Maine State Federated Labor Council. Records include correspondence, financial records, records of conventions and of the Council's newspaper"Maine State Labor News." Both national and state projects and campaigns are represented in the collection, and subject areas include work programs, labor laws and legislation, strikes, workers' compensation, etc. Correspondents include prominent state and national labor leaders as well as Maine politicians such as Margaret Chase Smith, Edmund S. Muskie, William Hathaway and others. Many materials are from Benjamin Dorsky, president of the Council until 1979.

Llewelyn D. P. Palmer was a General of the Maine volunteer militia and Commander of the 8th Division. He was an attorney, an Athens, Maine Selectman, a Democratic Party official, and the Athens Postmaster. Charles F. H. Green was a Judge of the Somerset County Probate Court and an attorney.

Norman Nash was born in Bangor, Me. in 1888. He was educated at Harvard, Episcopal Theological Seminary, and Western Theological Seminary. He served in WWI as a Chaplain; from 1916-1939 and was a professor at the Episcopal Theological Seminary.
The Norman B. Nash collection contains historical research on Eastern Maine and New Brunswick. The collection includes manuscripts, notes, correspondence, and illustrations. A number of original documents are photocopied.

Allen was born in Sanford, Maine, Oct. 26, 1839. Allen worked as a printer and compositor for the Morning Star, a newspaper in Dover, N.H., the Eastern Argus in Portland, Maine, and the Boston Journal before being employed as a proofreader and compositor at the Riverside Press in Cambridge, Mass.
