Russian Information Operations In The Soviet Strategic Framework, Kyle I. Campbell
Russian Information Operations In The Soviet Strategic Framework, Kyle I. Campbell
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This thesis seeks to illuminate how information operations supports Russia’s strategy for creating power for the state. Using classic military theory and Soviet strategy as the lens, the paper examines information operations in the context of the nature of war. The examination includes historical and contemporary Russian publications on warfare, as well as information operations case studies from Eastern Europe, Georgia and Crimea. An Introduction To The Psychedelic Pastoral: Tracing Mind-Altering Plant Life Into The Modern Industrialized West, Amy Nicole Buck
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
My Masters thesis offers literary pastoralism as a viable entry into the conversation on psychedelic plants and their use in mind-alteration by the industrialized West. I will, first, establish that the ancient pastoral tradition can be related to the existence of psychedelic plants, and that the use of such plants has inspired a deeper communion with various levels of the natural world. These similarities suggest that psychedelic plants initiate a peculiar and …

Based on a qualitative study of the practice and its aftermath, the theoretical analysis includes the nature of the Internet itself and its capacity as a location for networked communities; its capacity to operate as a communication medium for a religious ritual; and the involvement of active users.
The users in this case were members of a religious community interested in preserving their Eucharist theological tradition. The first set of major …
Homeland Security And Terrorism In Selected European States, Eric M. Deutcher
Homeland Security And Terrorism In Selected European States, Eric M. Deutcher
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
In the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the United States, the responses to terrorism increased throughout the world. The face of Homeland Security is now heavily focused on the prevention, preparedness, response and recovery of terrorist attacks not only in the United States, but also amongst some of America's oldest allies. This thesis studies the level of change in homeland security strategy of European NATO members after the 9/11 attacks in the United States. The analysis of strategic components within each NATO member's homeland security strategy (history, laws, counterterrorism agencies and budget support) shows significant change. The international community's …
