History Of Vincentian Education (Revised).Docx, John E. Rybolt Apr 2019

History Of Vincentian Education (Revised).Docx, John E. Rybolt

John E Rybolt

A revised version of a study of the Vincentian education, from the time of St. Vincent de Paul, through the French revolution and the restoration, schools in mission territories beginning in the nineteenth century, and modern higher education. The Congregation struggled to conform this reality of tertiary education with the founder's initial concepts. The paper was revised with studies of other institutions, especially in Ireland, England, and the Philippines. Other institutions, whose founders or sponsors are part of the larger Vincentian Family, could also be mentioned.
