The available literature on the population growth in the Arab World with a special focus on Egypt, its causes and consequences and the impact of the developmental aspects of globalization such as female education and women empowerment in declining population growth is reviewed with particular reference to definitions and various theories and perspectives behind the idea of person- environment relationship.
