In this review, we checked the harsh influence of high temperature or heat stress on plant metabolism and crop yield. Plants can bear a minimum range of temperature; temperature more than this optimum range comes in the term of heat stress. The study investigates the economics of sawn wood production and its supply determinants in a selected sawmill in Ogun State's Ijebu ode local government area. The purpose was to find socioeconomic characteristics of the respondents, profitability of the business factors and the determinants of sawn wood supply in the study area. Fifteen sawmills were chosen at random out of 60 sawmills in the area. Cross sectional data were collected from 150 plank sellers through the use of structure questionnaires and oral interview out of which 143 were retrieved. Early sprouting of yam tuber is a typical problem during storage resulting into weight losses, deterioration, shrinkage and reduction in quality. This research work therefore carried out investigation on the application of vibration technique for the control of physical properties of yam (Dioscorea spp.) sprouts during storage in FUNAAB, Nigeria environment. The physical properties (length, number and weight of sprout, number of leaves and weight of roots) of the yam sprouts were determined for 140 white yam tubers.
