Evaluation Of Frontline Demonstration Of Greengram (Vigna Radiata L.) In Sundarbans, West Bengal, Ganesh Chandra

Ganesh Chandra

Green gram (mungbean) is one of the important pulse crop in India, which plays a major role in augmenting the income of small and marginal farmers of Sundarban. The prevalent farming situation in Sundarban areas being characterised by kharif season with paddy cultivation in rain-fed condition and water requirement for growing rabi and summer crops are met only through residual soil moisture and/or stored rain-water. The low production of traditional varieties of greengram was a cause of concern for the farmers at large. To overcome this problem of low yield, Krishi Vigyan Kendra of CIFRI has conducted frontline demonstration ...

Survey Report On Training And Spending On Customer Care Services, Deogratias Harorimana Sr

Dr Deogratias Harorimana

In a bid to promote and develop good customer care service in various sectors of Rwandan economy, a survey was conducted to assess progress and trends on customer service capacity building. Although shortcomings are there, there have been efforts and registered trends across the country on service delivery front. Investment in Capacity Building IS happening in certain sectors but this is unevenly distributed. In 2008 companies had started recognizing the significance of good service and cultivate a good working environment and training. From 2009, there was a decline in investment in capacity building in front office and key service delivery ...

The Preliminary Insight Of Internal-External Npd Practices Integration And Product Development Time In Geographically Distributed Environment, Amlus Ibrahim, Geraldy Dadriyansyah, T Ramayah

Geraldy Dadriyansyah

Global competitiveness is one of the most important issues in manufacturing industry nowadays. Almost every company in this business industry is affected by it and they are looking for new ways to remain aligned and competitive. In recent years, the long term success of some manufacturing firms and organizations has been enhanced by their ability to bring new products onto the market at regular and shorter intervals. In order to achieve that, effective new product development requires a good integration and collaboration between internal and external participants. Moreover, in current circumstances, issues on how to effectively integrate NPD constituents in ...

Virtual Integration As A Predictor For Product Innovation: A Preliminary Insight, Geraldy Dadriyansyah, Amlus Ibrahim 2010 Universiti Utara Malaysia

Virtual Integration As A Predictor For Product Innovation: A Preliminary Insight, Geraldy Dadriyansyah, Amlus Ibrahim

Geraldy Dadriyansyah

The intense competition in manufacturing industry has forced manufacturing firms to switch their product development approach from traditional to concurrent engineering in order to stay competitive in term of product differentiation and innovation. In order to support concurrent engineering practice, both internal and external participants contributing to product development should be located into close proximity; therefore physical integration of team becomes the key enabler of concurrent engineering. However, as the paradigm has been shifted from adopting “centralized integrated product development”, physical integration is no longer efficient and should be replaced by virtual integration. This conceptual paper intends to explore ways ...

Virtual Integration As An Approach To Engender Product Innovation And Accelerate Product Development Time: A Literature Analysis, Geraldy Dadriyansyah, Amlus Ibrahim, Mohamad Ghozali Hassan 2010 Universiti Utara Malaysia

Virtual Integration As An Approach To Engender Product Innovation And Accelerate Product Development Time: A Literature Analysis, Geraldy Dadriyansyah, Amlus Ibrahim, Mohamad Ghozali Hassan

Geraldy Dadriyansyah

Global competitiveness has forced manufacturing firm, as an internal constituents, to work closer with their suppliers and customers in order to produce highly innovative product in shorter time interval. However as the business trends in manufacturing industry have evolved, centralized integration has become obsolete and no longer be efficient. Concurrent engineering methodology allows manufacturing firms to adopt a new collaboration approach called virtual integration. With the aid of computer-mediated communication, virtual integration is believed to be a promising solution to NPD collaboration issues. Therefore, this conceptual paper is aimed to seek for a new approach to engender product innovation which ...

Following The ‘Organising Model’ Of British Unions? Organising Non-Standard Workers In Germany And The Netherlands, Kurt Vandaele, Janine Leschke

Kurt Vandaele

Over the last three decades trade unions in almost all European countries have been losing members. In particular non-standard workers (part-time employed, temporary employed and own-account self-employed) are currently less likely than those on standard contracts to be organised in unions. The paper, which is based on a literature review, has a twofold purpose. A first objective is to provide a survey of the initiatives developed by trade unions in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK for organising non-standard workers. A second objective is to assess whether, and to what extent, the Dutch and German unions are influenced by British ...

Mental Models That Impede Business’ Role In Global Poverty Alleviation, dennis moberg, laura hartman, patricia werhane, scott kelley 2010 Santa Clara University

Mental Models That Impede Business’ Role In Global Poverty Alleviation, Dennis Moberg, Laura Hartman, Patricia Werhane, Scott Kelley

Laura Hartman

Six defective mental models that obstruct multinational enterprises from efforts at global poverty alleviation are identified. These include mindsets that define poverty in terms of individual daily earnings, that contend that global poverty is unsolvable, and frame global poverty as a human rights issue. In addition, there are the biased mental models that contend that the poor are incapable, that making money from the poor is unseemly, and that partnerships between multinational enterprises and public organizations are unlikely. It is claimed that such mental models challenge business leaders to be morally imaginative, and specific examples are cited that dispute each ...

A Modular Approach To Business Ethics Integration: At The Intersection Of The Stand-Alone And The Integrated Approaches, laura hartman, patricia werhane 2010 DePaul University

A Modular Approach To Business Ethics Integration: At The Intersection Of The Stand-Alone And The Integrated Approaches, Laura Hartman, Patricia Werhane

Laura Hartman

With learning objectives designed precisely to measure the student delta based on content, process and engagement in a particular class, those programs that have opted for stand-alone ethics courses may be (though not necessarily are) more prepared to respond to assessment-related inquiries regarding their programs or satisfaction of the standards. The relevance of the AACSB standards modification to the current efforts at ethics integration in business programs is instead a re-examination of how to create a program of integration that is designed to ensure the most effective learning results possible, while responding to the challenges presented by the integrated approach ...

Repeated Contracts For Supply Chain Coordination: A Review And Future Directions, R K Amit, Peeyush Mehta 2010 Indian Institute of Technology - Madras

Repeated Contracts For Supply Chain Coordination: A Review And Future Directions, R K Amit, Peeyush Mehta

R K Amit

Supply chain coordination with contracts has emerged as one of the key strategies to reduce the inefficiencies arising from conflicting objectives of agents in a supply chain. In this paper, we critically analyze the literature on repeated contracts that are designed for mitigating inefficiencies in supply chains. We also provide some directions for future research in repeated contracts for supply chain coordination.

"Análisis Espacial De La Competitividad A Nivel Municipal: Una Aplicación Del Análisis Exploratorio De Datos Espaciales", Ramiro Esqueda-Walle 2010 Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas

"Análisis Espacial De La Competitividad A Nivel Municipal: Una Aplicación Del Análisis Exploratorio De Datos Espaciales", Ramiro Esqueda-Walle

Ramiro Esqueda-Walle

Wim Van Opstal

Wim Van Opstal

Werken Met En Voor Mensen In Kansarmoede. Een Evaluatie Van Het Project Tao Limburg, Birgit Goris, Ann Moreels, Wim Van Opstal

Wim Van Opstal
