This study aims to determine the persistence of earning and its components and whether investors accurately evaluate the information related to the earning and its components. The study covers the firms operating in Borsa Istanbul between 2005-2017 time period. We sort the accruals and cash flows into five portfolios. Then, we employ linear regression and Mishkin test estimations. Moreover, we compare the asset pricing models with nine metrics in explaining the cash flow and accrual anomalies. Sport businesses continue to grow beyond their borders. As a result, sport management programmes must prepare students to be more globally aware and culturally sensitive. This chapter presents an overview of the learning possibilities associated with short-term study abroad classes for sport management students. The importance of framing study abroad as a form of experiential learning is described. The chapter also includes a rationale for how short-term study abroad classes can provide access for student-athletes, students in tightly prescribed academic programmes, students for whom equity and access are important considerations, and others for whom a full semester programme might not …

Purpose
Privacy considerations have become a topic with increasing interest from academics, industry leaders and regulators. In response to consumers’ privacy concerns, Google announced in 2020 that Chrome would stop supporting third-party cookies in the near future. At the same time, advertising technology companies are developing alternative solutions for online targeting and consumer privacy controls. This paper aims to explore privacy considerations related to online tracking and targeting methods used for programmatic advertising (i.e. third-party cookies, Privacy Sandbox, Unified ID 2.0) for a variety of stakeholders: consumers, AdTech platforms, advertisers and publishers.

Qualitative Findings From The Practice Of Outsourcing By The Aviation Technical Services Industry In Northern Europe: Comparison With Literature, Jukka Holkeri
Journal of Aviation Technology and Engineering
The outsourcing of maintenance and other technical services is a trend in both military and civil aviation. This article uses input from real outsourcing cases in Northern Europe to verify previous literature findings and to introduce new viewpoints to fill an identified research gap.
Interviews of deeply involved individuals from six cases were selected and analyzed using the Delphi method. The findings were synthesized using a framework that articulates contexts, observed outcomes, and generative mechanisms.
Many of the key literature findings were verified by this case analysis, but there were also some contradictions and new observations that had not been …

Despite growing research on economic, social, and environmental sustainability, few studies explore all three sustainability pillars and implemented practices, in the context of regional small firms. This study uses a novel integration of two theoretical concepts, local embeddedness, and sustainability embeddedness orientation, to fill this knowledge gap. Using 26 interviews, the study highlights the nuanced interconnectedness of three new theoretical concepts that link local embeddedness and sustainability embeddedness–locally embedded sustainability values, spatially-driven sustainability and locally adapted sustainability.
