A collection of small theological works by or attributed to Thomas Aquinas, often written in response to specific requests. One of these works, known as the Epistola ad ducissam Brabantiae (f. 67r-68r), which responds to a question from Marguerite of Constantinople, countess regnant of Flanders, about the treatment of Jews within her territory, is accompanied by two other unpublished responses to the same question, one attributed in the text to the Franciscan John Peckham and the other unattributed but possibly by theologian Gerard of Abbeville (Christie's). MWBC developed a pernicious stigma in their community that consumed their reputation, making it virtually impossible to witness because of the negativity encompassing the church. If the stigma was not remedied, it was apparent that the church would struggle to be a light for Christ in the community and keep its doors open. The methodology of this research project successfully designed a model that revived the church and restored its reputation in the community. The Conquest of Canaan has become a hot-button issue in Christian apologetics because of the moral dilemma it poses. Would an all-loving God command the wholesale slaughter of the Canaanite men, women, and children? Christians throughout the centuries have grappled with this problem and have offered many interpretations to alleviate the tension between God’s love and God’s wrath displayed in the Conquest. In 2018, the Carl Spain Center on Race Studies and Spiritual Action was founded by Dr. Jerry Taylor of Abilene Christian University in honor of a man ahead of his time. The Center memorializes Carl Spain, a courageous professor who, in 1960, delivered a scorching lecture at Abilene Christian's Bible Lectureship entitled: “Modern Challenges to Christian Morals.” The lecture publicly excoriated the college for rejecting African American students from attending it. This paper investigates the man and the lecture that tipped the scales towards integration in Church of Christ colleges.

a globalized game space in the mobile game Florence (2018). Florence is a multiaward-

winning interactive novella game with story-integrated minigames that weave

play experiences into the narrative. The game, in part, explores love, loss, and

rejuvenation as relatable experiences. Simultaneously, the game produces a unique

experience for each player, as they can refract the game narrative through their own

This Thesis challenges notions that have dominated biblical scholarship for more than a hundred years. Up until the end of the twentieth century scholars uniformly believed that the concept of a suffering Messiah was not part of early first century CE Judaism. It was believed to a be a Christian creation. There is however startling evidence of messianic precursors to Jesus, including one who is introduced as the 'Prince of the Congregation' in recently published fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Addressing the urgent issues facing humanity today, in his recent encyclical on social friendship, Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis reminds us that it is “all the more urgent that we rethink our styles of life, our relationships, the organization of our societies and, above all, the meaning of our existence” (no. 33). In this and in his previous encyclical on care for creation, Laudato Si’, Francis makes clear that we do not have a moment to waste. None of his diagnosis should “be read as a cool and detached description of today’s problems” (no. 56).
