The Charismatic Catholic Renewal (CCR)—known in Mexico as the Renovación Cristiana en el Espíritu Santo—saw Roman Catholic believers experience ecstatic spiritual practices native to neo-Pentecostalism. At first highly ecumenical, CCR emerged from loosely organized prayer meetings in the late 1960s and early 1970s to become a coherent movement by around 1975. Like many developments after the Second Vatican Council, CCR represented an effort to revitalize the Church by re-centering and empowering the laity. This article examines the Tannaitic conception of the worship of avodah zarah. The term is commonly translated as “idolatry,”but the definition of what constitutes worship of avodah zarah, in m. Sanh. 7:6, is based on a more nuanced notion than simply worship of foreign gods. For the Sages of the Mishnah, worship of avodah zarah involved misuse of objects and rituals associated with the Temple cult, which constituted a betrayal of covenantal loyalty. (1:4) “Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,

The creation and flood accounts in Genesis in the Hebrew Bible (the Christian Old Testament) contain variations on a phrase commonly translated “the breath of life.” This phrase additionally occurs in some uniquely Latter-day Saint materials relating to creation. Problem

There is currently no Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries capacity development plan to clinically train pastors as chaplains in the South Ghana Conference (SGC) of the Seventh-day Adventist church. This has resulted in the absence of professional chaplains within the denomination in South Ghana.

Method

I conducted a Chaplaincy Training and Support Program (CTSP) for 15 selected trainees at the South Ghana Church Headquarters Asoredanho-Accra. The Key area of competencies was Clinical Pastoral Education. I employed qualitative method of evaluating trainees by conducting oral and written assessments of data from trainees and ministry recipients.

Andreas Bodenstein von Karlstadt had a significant role in the early days of Wittenberg's Reformation, including significant tumult upon the return of Martin Luther. The divide between these two was primarily a result of Luther’s consistent misunderstanding of Karlstadt and his conservative shift upon his return to Wittenberg in 1522. Though the men disagreed over issues such as the practice of the Eucharist, the method of salvation, the manner in which God works, and a vast number of minor points, none were primarily responsible for their divide. Today’s world has become more globalized than ever before. The North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists is perhaps a division with the most ethnically diverse members in the world. This diversity is especially found in the Southeastern California Conference, which has more than 70,000 members with 175 churches and companies and many different ethnic groups. The Asian ministries alone have eleven different ethnic groups. These Asian churches not only face cultural differences between the first and later generations of the church members but must also deal with generational differences. These differences create conflict that need to be addressed.

พาณะเป็นกวีสันสกฤตในสมัยต้นคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 7 ผู้มีชื่อเสียงจากการประพันธ์ร้อยแก้วเรื่องกาทัมพรีและหรรษจริต แต่งานร้อยกรองของพาณะยังไม่มีผู้ใดศึกษา รวมทั้งยังมีร้อยกรองอีกจำนวนหนึ่งที่เชื่อกันว่าอาจเป็นผลงานของพาณะแต่ก็มิอาจระบุผู้แต่งได้อย่างชัดเจน วิทยานิพนธ์นี้จึงมุ่งศึกษาวัจนลีลาในร้อยกรองของพาณะตามแนววัจนลีลาศาสตร์และทฤษฎีรีติ และนำวัจนลีลาที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์บทประพันธ์ร้อยกรองที่มีปัญหาผู้แต่งว่าเป็นไปได้หรือไม่ที่จะเป็นผลงานของพาณะ ข้อมูลที่นำมาศึกษาจึงประกอบด้วยร้อยกรองกลุ่มที่ยอมรับกันว่าเป็นของพาณะโดยไม่มีข้อขัดแย้ง และร้อยกรองที่มีปัญหาผู้แต่งอีก 68 บท ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ร้อยกรองของพาณะมีวัจนลีลาที่โดดเด่น ได้แก่ การใช้ยมกขนาดสั้น การใช้อนุปราสะอย่างแพรวพราว เศลษะ การวางคำกริยาไว้ข้างหน้าบาท สมาสยาว ประโยคยาว การใช้ฉันท์ที่สอดคล้องกับความหมายของบทประพันธ์ และการข่มผู้อื่น สอดคล้องกับวัจนลีลาในร้อยแก้วที่เคยมีผู้ศึกษาไว้แล้ว ถึงแม้ว่าวัจนลีลาเหล่านี้บางประการอาจพบในผลงานของกวีร่วมสมัยคนอื่นด้วย แต่งานร้อยกรองของพาณะก็มีลักษณะโดดเด่นที่ไม่พบในงานของกวีร่วมสมัย ได้แก่ การใช้เศลษะที่แปลได้ 3 ความหมาย การใช้ประพันธสรรพนามตัวเดียวในบทประพันธ์ และการข่มผู้อื่นทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม การวิเคราะห์วัจนลีลาดังกล่าวทำให้เข้าใจลีลาภาษาของพาณะได้ชัดเจนตรงกับความเป็นจริงมากกว่าการใช้ทฤษฎีรีติซึ่งเกิดขึ้นทีหลังงานประพันธ์ของพาณะและมุ่งเน้นวิเคราะห์และจัดกลุ่มลีลาการใช้ภาษาให้เป็นแบบใดแบบหนึ่ง เมื่อนำวัจนลีลาที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ร้อยกรองที่มีปัญหาผู้แต่งทั้ง 68 บท ผลปรากฏว่า ร้อยกรองเหล่านี้อาจแบ่งออกได้เป็น 4 กลุ่ม เรียงตามลำดับความสอดคล้องกับวัจนลีลาดังกล่าวจากมากไปหาน้อย กล่าวคือ มีร้อยกรองจำนวน 6 บทที่มีความเป็นไปได้มากว่าจะเป็นผลงานของพาณะเนื่องจากมีลักษณะภาษาตรงกับวัจนลีลาที่วิเคราะห์ได้จากร้อยกรองของพาณะเป็นอย่างมาก ส่วนร้อยกรองอีก 34 บทมีความเป็นไปได้พอสมควรที่จะเป็นร้อยกรองของพาณะ เพราะวัจนลีลาค่อนข้างตรงกัน ขณะเดียวกันก็มีร้อยกรองจำนวน 26 บทที่เป็นไปได้น้อยว่าจะเป็นงานของพาณะ เพราะ วัจนลีลาตรงกันน้อย นอกจากนี้ยังมีร้อยกรองอีก 2 บทที่สรุปไม่ได้ว่าเป็นผลงานของพาณะ จากการศึกษาทำให้เห็นว่า ลีลาภาษาของกวีนับเป็นหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ที่ปฏิเสธไม่ได้ ลีลาในร้อยกรองที่ไม่มีปัญหาผู้แต่งสามารถนำมาเป็นเครื่องมือช่วยพิสูจน์ร้อยกรองที่มีปัญหาเรื่องผู้แต่งได้ และอาจแก้ข้อสงสัยในประวัติวรรณคดีสันสกฤตได้ในระดับหนึ่ง

Between 2004 and 2015, members of the New Market Seventh-day Adventist Church independently—that is, apart from the pastoral staff—initiated only a handful of new ministries (either for in-reach or outreach) and only occasionally attempted to substantially improve existing ministries. This stunted the church’s ability to reach, baptize, and mature new members. Two professional assessments of the church indicated that this problem was caused largely by an unhealthy dependence on the pastoral staff to make the majority of substantive ministry decisions.

Stone Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church’s vision calls for a reiterative process of growing the worship attendance to 2,000 worshipers, then initiating a new church plant every four years. At the initiation of this project, Stone Mountain Church did not have the capacity to achieve its vision. Its facility could not accommodate 2,000 worshipers. There were insufficient leaders to minister to 2,000 people, neither was there adequate leadership to take the congregation through a facilities expansion process.
